Margaret Mullett is Honorary Professor in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology at Edinburgh. At Queen's University Belfast she built the Institute of Byzantine Studies, its text series and colloquia, then went to Dumbarton Oaks as Director of Byzantine Studies.
